Larry, Did this job on my '87 300TD years ago, as I recall the working parts are quite boring. Not a whole lot to it. The interior assembly slides out, be careful to keep out the dirt. I also replaced both o-rings, the interior o-ring probably was fine and didn't need to be replaced. Max
