Well probably something I will have to tackle at some point soon. BTW,
my c3 is still not right. I was able to get into the transmission
module on that car but it would not read the engine module. I still
have a check engine light that I have no idea what it is and cant clear it.

So I pulled the starter out of the 190D today and went to my stash of
starters to get another one. Not a single 60x starter to be found.
Tons of 61x though. I have several 60x engines and transmission pulled
and in the shop, where the heck did all the starters go that was
attached to them?
That would be my guess.

Just got the shipping notice from the guys in Latvia.
These things are getting to be as scarce as hen’s teeth. Magnetti-Marelli, the
company who makes a lot of OE and aftermarket headlights, has been cutting way
back on production of older models, so they have just been making runs on these

Sold for $800.
If it was in Michigan, I would have loved to buy it and put a V10 diesel out of
a Toe Rag in it.

I use a small balldriver allen wrench for the steering lock. (2mm?) I
use coathangers for the cluster hooks, (and acetylene welding) I never
bought any steel welding rod, only brazing rod and 6011 sticks.

The carpet does indeed have a slot to fit the base of the accelerator
pedal, it's a bit awkward to remove and replace, but helps to see what must
be done.
Once you've gotten the speedometer cable unclipped, pull an inch or three
