You are most magnanimous with valuation. I brought up the swapping of engine
with MBCA folks during the Preservation Class judging this summer. The judges
felt that such a vehicle had no value or market and could serve only as a parts
car. As one could find a complete example for under $3k,
I know how to drive one. Depending upon the conditions on I-90, I could get it
there in a week.

Wasn't the 230 a SLK with compressor
Also the CLK is a 4 seater IIRC.

That's what I assumed back in 2005 while riding Amtrak with a young black guy
who said he owned one. He looked at me like I had two heads.
The W208 (or is it C208?) was a W203 with some W210 features, right?

What a truly and remarkably ugly little turd of a car... It is an
embarrassment that Mercedes placed it badge on such an abortion.

I presume the "CLK" is a cheap-class, 2-seat convertible, with a
supercharger.

Yeah that would be a good deal if it is mechanically sound. Not a big
fan of the white but the blue is nice, maybe fix up whatever issues and
respray in that light blue color.

I replaced a 1970s Mercedes V8 with a 1970s Ford V8 because I didn't know how
to work on the fuel injection. That raises the value from $3500 to $35000.

The season really only effects the sun and moon. The north star
effectively stays put. Effectively.
