Thanks Curt for your input, I'm getting there slowly but surely.
201 lock is different from 124 lock. After I looked at it and thought
about it a bit, it struck me that MB would not design a lock that can only
be assembled but not easily taken apart, and so the two blind pins were not
the place t
A blind hole is one with only one opening. He suggests you just have to drive
out a couple roll pins, doesn't sound like that big a deal.
Those work almost exactly the same as the side cut key locks, take all the
little wafers out making sure you keep them in order, clean each hole with
whateve
I don't know why both wouldn't work. Locks are pretty simple devices. I have
an idea how the side cut locks work I've just never opened one up.
In retrospect before I junked the '85 190D I should have pulled the locks out...
