[MBZ] $600E320 fuel mileage

Filled up the E320 yesterday for the second time, calculated 25.8mpg which I think is pretty decent.  Some in-town driving, some rural, and mix of the two.  I'm guessing on a road trip it might be more like 30? Premium was $2.63 if I recall, so that is about ten cents a mile for fuel for now.

Why not just make it a complete manual system with 3 ball valves [brass with stainless balls and barb fittings to accept the hoses]? Place ball valve at the entry hose, at the heater entry. One ball valve at the return line, at the heater exit. and a "T" fitting in each hose before the two valves.
