I’ve been a little surprised at the Waffle House situation, as I’ve mentioned
here in the past how well they are set up for disaster planning. While this
isn’t a hurricane, you would think they would have considered something like it

I think it is not impossible to do but you would need to work out the
process. I think vacuum bagging it down is a good idea. Pieces can curve on
one axis but not two; veneer doesnt do that very well. Violins etc seem to
be carved. Not sure if they get veneered after. Can ask my friend Ken;

had blue coolant in it. I do not stock blue so I drained it and did a plain
water fill, drained again then filled with yellow.

older cars. I’m pretty sure i put it in the finnie when I drained and refilled
it. It’s what I keep on the shelf and is sold under the same description. When
I ask for a gallon of antifreeze at the stealership, that’s wha

Some much newer cars use a pink coolant, so the dealer will stock both.
The pink stuff isn’t for use in older cars.

What waffle iron do you have? I always have trouble with the batter
sticking to the iron.
I would think a well-seasoned cast-iron one would be best. Though I
don't make waffles often. They really are an unhealthy thing to eat,
best as an occasional indulgence IMHO.

I had my Mom’s big square chrome Sunbeam waffle iron until a few years ago. It
wasn’t grounded (1950’s appliance, cloth wire insulation, two prong plug, etc.)
and some of the insulators for the heating elements were leaking to ground. The

The weather here is unusually wet - we have one or two clear days, then
three or four of rain and/or low clouds. I have to wait till it's clear and
