In today's instant satisfaction world, the fine art of stealing gas by
siphon has become a lost art. The preferred method now is to jam a
sharpened #3 phillips screwdriver into the bottom of your tank and shove a
bucket under it. when the bucket gets full, they grab the bucket and

If the viton doesn't last the backing plate will just get cut off. A backing
plate on my Ford Ranger failed, I ordered new ones but put it back together in

still have the new backing plates in my garage.

Our neighbor went camping on the cape yesterday, he said there wasn't a lot of
traffic coming home. Until demand goes down substantially prices aren't going

It's as high as $4.99 here, one or two stations are still lagging at $4.79,
probably none of the weekend help know how to change the price.

Not that I’m aware of. I’ve never seen anything but the regular fuels, but it’s
possible that it’s offered at places I haven’t visited. We are at 7,000’, so
there is a hit you take for mildly reduced performance. I think most modern
cars deal with it without an issue.

FWIW. On my 85 300TD, I took the starter out the bottom.
The exhaust plumbing etc made it very difficult from the top.
Disconnected the wiring.
A couple of long half inch extensions and an allen socket took out the

Turning the steering just so allowed the starter to (fall) be
