out of curiosity, what about the opposite: I've got an '85 SD with a straight body (clear coat failed on top old person parking lot door dent in RR door, but no 'wrecks' or rust), runs well, drives well, 270K, but interior has cracks rips in the seat + some stuff that needs to be checked out

Anyone here ever found a product to make really bad clearcoat failure look at least...?well, at least better. Seems a common MB issue to have decent old paint all around but one spot (maybe hood, maybe the roof) that's really bad with the clear coat failed. I was curious if anyone here had
