I forgot to mention that the cruise control and HVAC system may both be semi- or fully-dysfunctional. That's getting to be normal at this age, and needn't be a huge problem. Helps if you can solder! The vacuum locking system will probably be having some problems too, it's almost a given. Also

I'm a little disappointed in what I hearing about mileage. The vacum and other issues aren't really any different then what I have delt with in my gasser but I was hoping to get in the nieghborhood of 28 - 30 MPG. I have a 90 mile round trip communte with some rolling hills but all at 55 or a lit

Do you use paste or solvent type paint stripper? It's a big gallon can labeled "methylene-choloride-free", and pours like syrup. Causes the conformal coating to bubble up quite nicely, and you have to be _very_ careful to keep it entirely off the component side! I wash it off in the sink with
