We had this discussion some time back, and someone recommended
grinding the leading edges of the pads at a 45 degree angle to
eliminate squeel. Of course, I can never remember this when I'm
changing pads, so I've never tried it. I should pull the rear pads on
the SDL - they squeel loudly when bra

There was no paste with the pads that Rusty sent with my rebuilt

Buy softer, and cheaper pads. The cheapest ones at NAPA work
fine. Pads are a place where more expensive is NOT
better. Expensive ones are hard, and designed to wear the rotors,
not the pads. That is why they usually come with a lifetime
warranty. Your rotors will fall off first.
I have
Anti-seize, any type, although the Benz stuff is copper base, not
aluminum. Apply to rear of pad, and the side of the backing plate (NOT
the friction material).
