I've had leaks on my 85 123, and an older 110 car. They vanished with
windsheild replacement. Secret seems to be to use lots of urethane sealant on
both sides of the standard gasket. Not sure if the 124 has a gasket or not,
but liberal use of urethane should be encouraged. PS - insurance will

Happened to me on my 126. The adhesive did not bond to the metal (lack of
proper cleaning, I guess) from the top left corner to about midway.
I removed the chrome molding, and using a utility knife, I dug out as much
of the rubbery adhesive as I could, cleaned the area with paint thinner and
packed
