Don't get me wrong. I agree entirely about the looks of the W108/109 body style. All that glass and the colorful interior lights made for a regal drive, especially at night. I owned and restored a W109 1971 300SE L 3.5 that I loved. But it had a 4 speed transmission, leather seats, burled walnu
