There are tall "stabilizing stands" sold for use under a car lift, which have a wide base and a jack screw to keep the car from becoming unbalanced while on the lift... If you have an OSHA approved shop, you have to have those.. otherwise, you are free to try to kill yourself, I suppose.. Also,

I have probably 18-20' ceilings in mine, I have not measured it. So when doing things just as trans r, or maybe changing motor mounts where I would previously put a jack under the engine and jack it up a little bit, how does that work with a lift? Do they sell tall jack stand deals to put

I URGE you to use extreme caution while pushing UP on a car which is balanced by gravity on a lift. You can upset the balance point of the car, which can lead to disaster, with you under it.. Remember. SAFETY FIRST - STUPID SECOND rule.. All that said.. A transmission jack made or adapted

Any of you cheap lazy folks have a 2 post lift in your shop? I have been looking at them for a while and a few questions come to mind on what to look for. 1. Most work will be on MB, but will also work on my 3/4 ton truck and suburban. 9k or worth the extra $100 or so for a 10k lift? 2.

I have a two post lift, 9,000lb. Symmetrical arms. Hydraulic over Chain [one main hydraulic pump, one master hydraulic cylinder connected by chain for each upright.] Manufacturer is Rotary Lift Company. The lift arms are long enough to allow access to vehicle doors [unless you are XXXL size],

My lift has safety interlocks ever 4 inches that click into place as the lift goes up. If anything fails it can't drop more than 4 inches. You have to release the safety locks to lower the lift. The "chains" are multi layer links rated for way more than the lift is, so I feel pretty safe walking
