It takes a good solid day (8 hours) to remove and install the hydraulics. That
is, a total of two days. It’s not difficult work, but it’s time consuming and
involves removing a lot of trim panels and such.
The guy in Oregon, Klaus of Top Hydraulics, will rebuild the full set of
cylinders and lo
I had a convertible top repair shop guy tell me that if he had one R129 a
month to do he could pay his bills. He said he had done a lot of them

Not only that, they’ve replaced the soft top just a couple years ago, which is
a major expense and not an easy DIY job. I’ve done it on other cars, but I
don’t think I would do it on an R129.
That’s a heck of a deal for the car.

No issues to speak of with these. From the description it has a hydraulic leak
on the left top lock, a real easy one to change and not expensive to have
rebuil
This looks nice, AMG wheels, not a bad price, but were these earlier
models prone to issues? Needs a new top cylinder, probably all at some
point.
