The problem is the bolt that holds the timer on backed out, rattled around for a LONG time, and in the end, I think the shaft that the timer drives to run the IP broke. That is why I needed to extract that shaft from the known bad spare engine. (and the oil pump had to be removed to get it ou

I finally got back to pulling the oil pump today. The oil pump finally came out. I bumped up the top shaft that drives the oil pump with a 1/2" extension 12" long, then the IP drive shaft I was after fell out at last! Now to do the same on the engine in the car, and start getting it back to
