Sure can. If you are rich (somewhat unlikely if you are driving a 77 300D) you can buy the chain guide that bolts on and holds the chain in place on the cam sprocket. If you are poor like me, just use wire ties or some vise grips (you need three) to clamp the chain to the sprocket. It
