Practically I wouldn't think it would be much different than driving a
'74-or-earlier around, which any of us here would do in a heartbeat.

As does disabling EGR. Not that I've done either (I prefer my Benzes
to run as designed) but the rules - at least in NC - cover all OEM
emissions equipment.
I would wonder even if you completely removed (as opposed to disabling
internally) them in the '75/'76s whether anyone could catch it,
a little, so I would just play around on the dyno,
gradually increasing my speed so I never nailed the fuel system.
Am I going fast enough???

I thought that was the '76, maybe it was both '75 76? Shouldn't be to hrd
to find later model manifolds and exhaust system these days, though
replacing them in the car will be difficult.
