Hi all, I need to pull the dash to replace the vac pods on my 124, and figure I might as well clean the evaporator while I have easy access to it. There are foaming cleaners that are supposed to lift off the dirt crud and rinse them away, down the drain tubes. I'm having a hard time finding

hi yes there are products that are specifically intended to do this very thing that heating and air conditioning supply houses have its called coil cleaner it does not require scrubbing just spray and let it work and rinse if you were to use general house cleaning products it probably

I saw some at Lowes or Home Depot, in the AC section, WAs in a white spray can (blue lettering I think) and its name implied its intended use. I do not recall what it was though. It might not be the foaming stuff. I also saw them demo some on that TV car show (2 guys garage?) where the

Dave, The last time the HVAC guy cleaned the Evaporator and Condenser at my town house he used Dow Tub Bath Cleaner, Scrubbin' Bubbles type. He said it worked as good as the commercial stuff and didn't need as much water to flush off. You may want to give it a try. You can also get the
