ok I have an 85 300SD whose ac never really worked that great from when I
got. it. When I used to turn it on. It would sometimes take like 1 mins to
starts the fan. then after like 10 mins it would cut out the fan. Well

Check the heater hoses -- if they are hot, the monovalve is still
leaking. If the leak was bad enough, the solenoid itself can go bad,
and the valve will not close. It can also stick if the solenoid is
corroded.
Otherwise, check to make sure the compressor is running -- if it is,
