Would not be hard, if he has access to one or more of the major regional auctions with lots of cars feeding in from tweedy/horsey suburbia. By that I include a wholesaler who may be collecting the cars from different places and funneling them through to him (or he may be the wholesaler himself).

not if the car is from the original owner. Not all states record mileage at inspection. so the mileage can be turned back. Also carfax doesn't always record accidents... I've seen many totaled cars at auctions and the insurance companies didn't process the titles to salvage. Carfax does not cat
