I don't think they dig that far into them. The guy who called yesterday
said the tech figured it was the CP. That is kinda the lowest level
component if the TCM (called VGS on these units) is bad. It is an
intermittent issue so I think it must be a loose connection, or some
intermittent
So he did the conductor plate and it was still stuck in 2nd?

Can you talk with the service manager (or better yet the tech) and see if
they can offer any insight beyond "replace the conductor plate"? Are there
any service bulletins for this car / transmission that they can give you
copies?

I still wonder why the issue is intermittent, guess I will have to open
up the tranny and take a look
