it is curious to explore this. for 6 years, i lived by lake ontario. it
started snowing at the end of october and ended in april. sometimes it
would snow a few feet in one snowfall. , nothing ever got shut down on
account of it

When I was a younger fellow than I am now, I do not remember roads being
closed or school buses not running.
The roads were there but most people were either smart enough not to go
out on them when it was truly bad or
Problem here is that there is no equipment to deal with the roads and
bridges, so it is pretty much wait it out. We had about a 1/2 of snow
4 years ago but it melted quickly, so no problems. Plus no one knows
how to drive on it. Just as well they all stay at home.
