I’ll be getting an MB rebuilt pump from the stealership tomorrow, since they’re
only about $150. Anything else to watch out for?
My crank pulley seal leaks, too, so this might be a good time to do it. Anyone
know if I need a puller to get the crank pulley off?

It’s super easy on a non fan clutch one. Should be easy after pulling the fan
and clutch

I did the water pump on the $500E300, I took out the radiator to have
some room to work. had to take the fan off too. It wasn't a terribly
bad job, just annoying to have to take out other stuff to get to the WP,
which it turned out was OK, it was that stupid alternator clutch
pulley. Replace

And this would be on my 1998 wagon, so there’s a fan and fan clutch involved.
