Tried that. Works on cheap FLAPS exhaust pipe, but the factory Mercedes
stuff is way too strong--the HF tool will break long before it stretches.

You insert the tool inside the pipe, then using a strap wrench to hold the
pipe, tighten the expansion nut on the tool and expand the collet to expand
the pipe to a slip fit size.

Max, you planning to use some type of asbestos-like gasket or heat-resistant
goop between the clamp and the pipe to help seal it?

Today I've been messing with the house upstairs HVAC. Have warranty
replacement coil on the way, but why not try fix
