Mom was a seamstress and made a lot of our clothes when I was a kid. Not
because she had to, it was more of a hobby for her. I used to help her make
stuff, so I can yield a needle and thread pretty well. It’s been a while, but

I went back and started messing with it and found that if I jammed stuff down
in the groove of the windlace frame like it will be when installed that is
tightened up well enough to pull nearly all of the creases. Wetting and drying
will be a last resort - I think it will be OK.

I bet if you wet that fabric at the bend then hit it with a hair dryer
it will shrink up

I built fine hardwood furniture for upwards of 20 years as a hobby. Never once
did I save my saw or sanding dust to make filler. I rarely used filler as I was
typically able to make joints that didn’t require filler. The few places I
