My engine used to exhibit this exact type of behavior before I began the intercooler tweakage in earnest (i.e. R&Ring the IPs). It doesn't do this anymore, since I've subsequently swapped in a different IP. The original IP's fuel shutoff arm didn't seem to fully spring back into the open position
