We bought a Dyson Ball vacuum a couple years ago, so far it is holding up
well, although the plastic construction seems quite flimsy to me. It is
quieter, uses less power, and is easier to move around than the Hoover
windtunnel it replaced, and it does seem to pick up more dirt. Personally

We have two Orecks that are pretty nice, trouble free and light weight
(upright and slung canister).

Yeah I did have that higher at first but it didn't seem to do as
good a job so I dropped it to the deck and it worked better. I
think I have to get a new beater brush head. The one on there
looks to be a bit on the worn side. That would make a difference
also. Too bad Gramma didn't send it to
Do you know if they all come with all the extras? This one seems
to be missing the butler attachment, that grinder and supper
Dremel tool. If they do then probably one of my BIL go it a long
time ago.

Acquaint yourself with the little foot adjustment, left side, that sets
height. That will meter the distance above the carpet and thus.. how much
harder it is or not to push.
It will be much more easy to push on carpet when adjusted correctly...

Back in the day, buying the Kirby was almost like a right of passage. I bought
ours in 1980. It's every bit as good as the day I bought it

The wife brought home her Mom's Kirby upright vacuum that Mom had
been using since the old man bought it for her back in the 50's.
Seems our second daughter had laid claim to it many years ago and
grandma told her it was hers when she was done with it. Well the
time is here and June takes it
'Been using Pullman central vac system everywhere I've lived, except
Thailand and Greenland since 1968. 'Made a shop vac about 15 yrs ago using

and installed in IBM's first circuit chip lab at NC's Research Triangle Park
I agree - much like a Mercedes. Likely a good buy @ $50 if it runs as good
as it looks - test drive it.
