IME, the multiple ball cv joints have always done as you suggest.

Yeah, I have historically cringed when I hear people leaning on the wheel as
they make sharp turns in parking lots. Wasnt sure anymore if that was really
a problem.
I dont think the noise our Honda is making is the PS pump, though I could be
wrong. The fluid level is ok.

Sounds like power steering to me. Are you holding it at the limit (i.e. as far

Is it the usual power steering moaning? That's caused by the
pump's overpressure valve operating. You said _near_ all the
way, but still...

I'll plea ignorance of the vehicle and give a general comment:
If it does not have a center differential, and 4wd is engaged, the tires will
howl when you turn on pavement. If it's a full time 4x4 and the center
differential is locked, the tires will howl when you turn on pavement.

Hate to make my first question Ive posted in a long time be about a ricer,
but:
In our 2000 CRV (all wheel drive) when I turn the wheels near all the way
and travel forward (and/or backward?) there is a sort of moaning sound.
Any ideas on what is wrong?
