It wasn't really fun to drive either. The automatic transmission was OK in
"sport mode" but really sluggish in standard mode.
I think for the $3K ask he could get a much nicer and better made MB.

Those engines are known for blowing head gaskets and having all kinds of
issues. Basically they’re a POS using BMW parts that are not known for being
reliable. Throwaways. If you could pick one up for $500 and treat it as a money
pit project for some reason then it might be somewhat
Went and looked at this car today. Cosmetically it's OK, the typical dings and
scratches you'd expect on a an 11 year old car. No rust or major damage.
Interior was a disappointment to me. Front and center on the driver's dashboard
is the tachometer. The ridiculously oversized speedometer is in

I don’t know about these for longevity, but I’ve been told they’re pretty
robust otherwise. The price is in line with what I’ve seen in my market for
similar cars based on mileage - their resale doesn’t seem to be all that great.
They appear to be relatively cheap, cheap enough that I’ve been
Is it an old one or one of the new versions? If old, then it is a
classic toy. If it is a new one, read the reviews. They are generally
awful. Not something you want unless you are really stuck on the styling.

Anyone know much about these? This is posted at work on our "internal"
classified ad site. Son is thinking he might want it. Would "engine valve leak"
be valve cover gasket most likely? Or are there other seals that let go on
these?
