Those engines are known for blowing head gaskets and having all kinds of issues. Basically they’re a POS using BMW parts that are not known for being reliable. Throwaways. If you could pick one up for $500 and treat it as a money pit project for some reason then it might be somewhat

Went and looked at this car today. Cosmetically it's OK, the typical dings and scratches you'd expect on a an 11 year old car. No rust or major damage. Interior was a disappointment to me. Front and center on the driver's dashboard is the tachometer. The ridiculously oversized speedometer is in

I know of two people who have owned these. Both had expensive maintenance issues with them, and they bought them new. Both sold the cars as soon as the extended warranty expired. Remember, it's a BMW, and parts and service are priced accordingly. On Fri, Sep 24, 2021 at 3:49 PM dan penoff.com via

I don’t know about these for longevity, but I’ve been told they’re pretty robust otherwise. The price is in line with what I’ve seen in my market for similar cars based on mileage - their resale doesn’t seem to be all that great. They appear to be relatively cheap, cheap enough that I’ve been

Anyone know much about these? This is posted at work on our "internal" classified ad site. Son is thinking he might want it. Would "engine valve leak" be valve cover gasket most likely? Or are there other seals that let go on these? Attempting to post screenshot here, not sure if it will come
