I need to learn a little about tinting for our gym. Its in a converted space in what was an old bank. I don't know how old the building is, I'd guess late 1800s or early 1900s. I suspect there isn't much insulation and it's tough to keep it cool in the summer. Shades over the windows helped but

Karl, While the ship has sailed on your W126, for anyone considering aftermarket audio in the W126 and similar vintage cars, the Continental head units are fantastic with modern features like Bluetooth and look period correct - even more so than the Beckers, if you ask me. I’ve had several of

I put the 3M clear on the 126, all windows. Huge reduction in interior heat load through front and rear. It still runs r12 so it is like a refrigerator now, but the car is black on black so had to do something. The 3M crystal stuff is expensive and tint guy said the other brands may be better for

Might want to look into the clear ceramic films. Heard about them a couple of years ago was said to work quite well though a bit more expensive that others. I was quite skeptical about them until my SIL in Orlando had the windshield done on his new MB coupe. I didn't see any difference when

Meant to also say I think it would look fine on a 116. Maybe better than on a 123. On Fri, May 13, 2022, at 11:36 PM, Allan Streib via Mercedes wrote: > I think it would be OK on a 123. > > I don't know much about it, but I would say get a pro shop to do it. A > good one should warranty it

I think it would be OK on a 123. I don't know much about it, but I would say get a pro shop to do it. A good one should warranty it against bubbles and peeling. Check local laws about tinting the front windows and/or windshield. It does help with taking some of the load off of the AC in the

What is everyone's opinion on window tint as far as brands?  Also, opinions on using it on older cars such as 123 etc?  My opinion is that it looks fine on anything 124 and newer for sure, I would include 126 in that.  I am on the line with 123 but I still think it is appropriate on that.  My
