Holy cow, there are two covers? The engine compartment cover is like an acre
in size
I don't recall ever having to remove them on my former 124s - an 88 300TE and a
91 300E. I'm sure they were probably there on both, but fortunately I never
had to do anything of significance under either
Yup - there are two covers ---

Rusty said that it showed a total of 16, which I think we both questioned, me
because I know there weren't 16 holes in the cover.
Anyway, we went with six, assuming that it would be enough to hold it on for
now.
I will report back this weekend after I get underneath and take a look.
Tomorrow I
Typical performance - I honestly don't see how he does it so well &
consistently.
BTW, I bought I think 10 sets of the fasteners (as spares) to hold the
"Anti-Noise" Shield in place (I think that''s the official name) as it

Might be able to get an order in for r107 stuff. SWMBA gave tentative

Called Rusty yesterday afternoon with a laundry list "o" stuff for the
300E.
Of course it was sitting on my front step when I got home a few minutes
ago.
Thank
My experience is that Rusty is like Al Capp's adorable and delicious
Schmoo, who jumps into your frying pan and cooks itself when you're
hungry (tastes just like pork chops). Rusty's parts are on my front
door step the day after I dream of them.
