I think the idle should be ~ 800. There is an adjustment at the IP, towards the block. Kinda close quarters, but it's doable. I used a deep socket to loosen the counter nut. Turn the slotted bolt to change the idle speed. IIRC, CW is more, CCW is less RPM. On 1/16/07, Luther [EMAIL PROTECTED]

Check the wiring on the rack position solenoid, too -- that engine have electronic idle control, and if it's not working, the mechanical idle speed is usually too low for smooth running. Most common failure is the wires breaking in the three-wire plug on the back (rack position solenoid).
