In a nutshell, the optimum level is between the two marks. They are
not "Full" and "Add", they are "Max" and "Min". Some cars will burn
off the oil between the Max and the middle, then stay at the mid level
for a long time. No point it constantly feeding the engine oil it
doesn't need or
Why wait to hit the Min mark before adding oil?

2) DO NOT under ANY cicumstances put Slick 50 into ANY engine you plan
to actually use. That stuff should be banned from sale.
3) Mobil-1 5W-40 would be the preferred oil for your car. If the
engine has bad seals now, synthetic could make it leak
