I know quite a few people with TDIs in their westfalias and vanagons,
and they fit very well. In fact, they basically bolt in if you get the
correct parts. VW used to sell diesel vanagons with the 1.6 liter here
in the USA, and in some countries they sold vanagons with a
turbocharged inline
