How true! I also tried the generals from Sams. Wear fast and slip belts. The goodyear allegra from sams, also in 205/65 15 for the SDL have held up ok. They just cost more than they are worth, and you have to put up with all the Sams BS. Sears, Sams and all such places have lines only

It's not about how long they last. It's about how scary they are in the wet. PO put cheapy Douglas tires on my old W123 (probably just to get it to pass inspection so he could sell it), and it would try to swap ends quite often in the rain. Not a good thing. These were relatively new tires. I
