All: I can't recall whether I tasked the group to help me figure out why the newly re-reconected self levelling system on my 1985 300TD with the CA version engine kept losing (or loosing, if you prefer) its SLS fluid. The rear components were dry (SLS valve, air cells, struts) so I had suspected

Long ago when you first complained, I said it was likely leaking through the low pressure hose. Yes Through the hose. Second choice, leaking through the pump into the engine. Unless your CA 85 is freakishly different, all the SLS plumbing is on the left side of the car, not the turbo side.
