My left turn signal works fine when my headlights are off. When the headlights are on, the left signal flashes quickly like the bulb is burnt out. I've inspected the bulb and it looks fin. It flashes when the headlights are off, but doesn't flash when the headlights are on. What's the story?

It flashes when the headlights are off, but doesn't flash when the headlights are on. What's the story? Bad ground to the turn signal light. It's in effect taking a virtual ground through the parking light system, which it can't do if it's powered. -- Jim

I see. Is the termination of this ground in the tail light assembly? There's a ground stud in the back of the car. The taillights are grounded through their connectors to this stud. Something along the way is broken, you'll just have to chase it down. A careful and complete visual examination
