I have a vacuum line on my 79 300SD that came loose it is the 1 that hooks into
a tee and into the top of the white plastic prapotioning valve and runs
between firewall and back of engine . Where does it hook up ?

Many of these systems have a vent line into the (clean air) cabin.
Probably to the main vacuum line -- there is an orifice in there, and
the valve is a bleed-off. Don't know for sure, though.
