Thanks. I think something similar is possible with the brake MC. if it ever warms up I will try the bleeder test and see what happens. I guess if no pressure at the MC and pressure at the hoses, then it is hoses again.Pressure at MC would indicate MC it seems. Headscratcher, but not

The one thing that comes to mind is if the piston in the master cylinder isn't moving all of the way back (pedal all the way up) the drilling in the master cylinder that lets fluid in from the reservoir doesn't get uncovered. This prevents more fluid from getting in when the system is at rest,
