2nd diagram is definitely my tank style which has the plastic

The R107 is built on the W114/115 chassis - many parts interchange. I don't
know what a gasser fuel sender from one of those is like, but they might be
possibilities.

W110/111/112 had this type of sender, too, as I recall. I’m not aware of any
conversion that allows the later sender to be used.
