altitide.While driving my '82 cd home from LA I fondly remember passing

well. I think I might prefer the NA as simpler, more
drivable, and more maintainable cars for daily
driving. The increased fuel economy just might be
coloring my opinion. On the other hand, the turbos
are clear winners for long trips.

I managed to sell the '78 300CD today. It was a fine car in the six months
that I had it, but it now has a new owner. It will now be a young man's
first car, and in his words, "a nice, solid machine!" Shortly, I'll be in
the market once again for another Mercedes diesel with at least 4 doors
