If the pan was overtightened in the past it might not be sealing
properly. Very easy to do, the torque on those bolts is not much past
"snug" and unless you use a low-range torque wrench you

Don't know how many miles your new ride has Ed, but that leak is
typical for MB's and probably coming from the front transmission seal.
It is about 400.00 to repair (labor) and some folks just wait until
they have to redo the transmission. (I, being one of those in the
past).

Mentioned I thought there was a very slight drip of oil fron the pan last
week. I have the engine a good clean, and after driving the car to hot, I
noticed the drip is trans fluid, not oil. Very slight, about centre, just
