pan-gasket change on my '87 300D. I I have the Miele (I think) kit
that includes both the filter and gasket on one big shrinkwrapped
card, which I bought for my '86 300E at some point and never used. Is
this the same part? I

I've got a tranny gasket and filter kit hangin' 'round that was ordered for
my '78 300CD. Will this work with the '83 SD? Also, does this car have
that dreaded tranny plug that also holds the filler/dipstick tube in place
as the W123's do?

Dang! I guess I'll be ordering that tomorrow as well. It's shifting very
well, and I want to keep it that way with some M1 synthetic and a new
filter.

NO, unless it's a Cali 722.4 in an '85. My 123/126 pans are different
than my parents '85D/Cali, which is the same as a '84 190D

is the filter itself the same though? The reason I ask is I was going
to drive my 190D to work today. I had a big coolant leak and replaced
the waterpump. Was still losing a little bit of coolant and no leaks
anywhere. Well I discovered where it was going, leaking out of the
