Actually I got here (actually to a DG about 1/4mi from where the car is) about

Thanks.
I got the VIN from the guy and ran it on the MBUSA site. Looks like all
these repairs were done last year 2/7/23 but he's saying DPF needs to be
cleaned. The report says there is a warranty of 4yr 48kmi on the
repair, he says the car has 165,000 miles so that would still be covered
Even if it’s not covered under warranty it’s easy to clean out. Remove it from
the car. Spray a couple of cans of engine degreaser down it and let it sit for
an hour. Flush with water. Next seal up the openings on one end and turn it up
end to end best you can. Fill it up with a solution of 1:4
No, DPF clogged up.
I messaged the guy, he got right back to me, I'm taking a little road
trip tomorrow...

Ask whether it won't start or starts/dies. Could be as simple as a GP
relay, or as costly as a blown engine,

Is there anyone on this list young enough to still be working and not
retired in 20 years (exccept maybe Curt)? If so, you are likely correct
that it will fund their retirement because they won't likely make it
more than another year or two after that.
