Thanks. I got the VIN from the guy and ran it on the MBUSA site.  Looks like all these repairs were done last year 2/7/23 but he's saying DPF needs to be cleaned.  The report says there is a warranty of 4yr 48kmi on the repair, he says the car has 165,000 miles so that would still be covered

Even if it’s not covered under warranty it’s easy to clean out. Remove it from the car. Spray a couple of cans of engine degreaser down it and let it sit for an hour. Flush with water. Next seal up the openings on one end and turn it up end to end best you can. Fill it up with a solution of 1:4
