New Holland, PA strikes a memory in my mind of camping as a teen near Maple Grove, PA. This had to be in the 1977 to 1980 timeframe; I'm not certain how far the DoD data goes back. We were surrounded entirely by forest so no direct observation was possible. The forest floor, however, was suddenly b

Rob,
I'm going to try to get up into Kern County, CA to see about this "Pozo Bolide" that just happened recently. It may not be until a month or more from now. It should prove interesting because there's film of it from Fresno, then apparently, eyewitnesses all the way across the state in San Rob

Without eBay, I probably would not have come to find this List or know most
of you folks, as my first meteorite was an eBay purchase, and I had no idea
there were meteorite dealers out there. EBay has definitely increased
public awareness of meteorite collecting, although it can be argued it is

My point, if any, Mike, is that in the case where I
bought on Ebay (which I hate) I had no other choice.
I have not seen for any of the items the so called
"Buy Now" option, and in each and every case where I
did buy, which is certainly less than a dozen small
items, I e-mailed the seller to find

Hi All,
EBay: love it or hate it, it has made an irreversible impact on our
little hobby. I think one could convincingly argue that without it,
there would be several additional metric tons of meteorites still
"hiding" in the deserts of Northwest Africa. (And some might argue
that that would be

so Steve, what is your point? You buy there but dont SELL there? That makes
everything ok.
Ebay brought you those items that you wanted so badly that you had to
register and bid on them.
Steve, I like you but your argument is about as lame as a dead cat.
