Personally I have to say that private collectors would most likely take
better care of their collections than most 'commercial' institutions. I've seen
too many fantastic irons rusting away and even one of the most beautiful
oriented meteorites in the world hacked up just for "scientific" val

I had been contacted by some mates from the Sahara.
They had a meteorite fall reported by nomads, end of march, in a sand dune
area ( erg Chech ) , not far from Mauritania/Mali border, around North 24°
20/40 West 6° 10/30
Anyone with detailed info will be rewarded by whatever is found.
