Hi Michael,
First of all, it has no fusion crust anywhere on it.
Number two, it isn't attracted to a magnet and I doubt it's a lunar or martian.
And lastly, it looks too much like an animal skull to be a meteorite.
I think you were scammed. ;) LOL

Hi Dean!
I could not agree more. I ran across this site as well, in the
beginning while I was doing my homework on NWA meteorites.
While we cannot force the site down legally, we can post a rebuttal
webpage and make sure it gets ranked higher than Pelison's on
Google. I will help do this. I am

A while back I think that someone mentioned (in a post that I can't find) that a
piece of Tamdakht reminded them of Carancas. Well, I received a small (1.23g)
fragment of Tamdakht yesterday, and the first thing I noticed is how weathered
the patch of fusion crust was. But then I realized that it
Hi Michael, that turtle skull looks like a Euclastes (marine turtle) from

>It makes me wonder what motivation they have for such comments.
Maybe frustration or much to much spare time.
Let's estimate the risk.
If I reckon 25$ a kilo retail price for unclassified old chondrites,
then the terrorists would have only to find 300 metric tons and they can buy
a brand-new tan
I have seen the site before also... It makes me wonder what motivation they
have for such comments.
Im sure the big oil companies contribute far more to terrorism then the
meteorite trade, but I think meteorites are an easier target due to the fact
that they dont have high dollar lawyers.

Here is a somewhat sad email that I received from a new ebay NWA customer last

doing research on meteorite to advance his meteorite knowledge and this website

I think we all know why Chicago Steve posted publicly to the list, He always
does this to brag. Then when the bragging high wears off, he sells the piece,
many times for less than what he paid.
I still bet it will be on ebay before he even receives it.

The other lives in Chicago.
