Hi there,
has anyone already read already the new book:
Atlas of Meteorites,
by Pratesi, Cecchi, Grady ?
Cambridge University Press
(ISBN 9780521840354)
How is it?
Description reads very promising.
The Atlas of Meteorites is a complete visual reference for meteorite
classification.
Hi Martin,
It is scheduled to be published in March, 2012 (February for Europe.)

I can't wait to see it!

Well, perhaps nothing but a new pre-planned issue of the old famous so-called
Blue Book, the Catalogue of Meteorites, but under a new title. And no earlier
than 2012, as I just learned...

...and pretty much ENHANCED, of course! Btw: the last issue seems
to be sold out, and is quite expensive on the used books market!
So this new one will be very welcome...

Mike,
I (and probably everybody else on the List) received this odd email, see
below. It is supposed to be coming from you, but I don't really believe that.

auctions, but they belong to many different people, some I

List,
Do any of you have a copy of
The 1985 edition of the Catalogue
Of Meteorites lists the fall of the Ensisheim as November 16, 1492.
Other sources give November 7, 1492.
I assume the November 7th date is the
old Julian Calendar date. As very few meteorites have an older date it
would be nice if catalogues would be more
Good very late evening list. I just got back from las vegas after 4 days.I also
had the great pleasure to spend 6 hours with count deiro at his villa. He and
the countess were absolutly the best hosts a person could ask for. He picked me
up at the golden nugget hotel and we drove out to his
