Hello List, My entry for contest #7; I had a small nice thumb-printed Sikhote-Alin individual. I was showing it to a inlaw. He pointed to two deep thumb-prints that were side by side, and asked" is that where the eyes were". I could not figure out what in the heck he was talking about.
Hello Dave,

Hello List, I was hoping some one could give me advice on a rock saw. I am looking into buying one, but know nothing about them. My budget does not allow a nice one! I think I want more of a trim saw, just for cutting small meteorites. What type of blades would you use if you were to cut an

Hello List, I Bought a small Canyon Diablo meteorite awhile back. I ground down a small window to see the nice shiny metal. Along with the nice shiny metal there is also a shiny black material. Is this some sort of oxidation? Or is it an inclusion common in Canyon Diablo's?
Thanks, Tom

Hey Robert List, I think trying at Meteor Crater would be a great idea. If you get a employee to go out and supervise and promise to give all the recovered meteorites to them, with anemphasis on non-destructive collecting habits. Like filling in your holes, you might have a shot at hunting

Hello List, It would seem that the first thing meteorite hunters look for in that out of place rock is a fusion crust! But either of Nortons books seem to cover identifying Fusion crusts in great detail. Is there a book or web site that does cover it really good?

Hello List, A meteorite hits girl in foot, I don't think so! I seem to get the same impression from you all. I don't think I have heard any one say this one yet: she saw it from about as high as the roof! I think after falling from miles up its velocity would be to fast for some one to have
