Hello List,
A few days ago I returned from my second trip to the Battle Mountain
area. I found a total of 4 meteorites in 20 days of hunting, a 29g,
32g, 33.g, and a 236g, respectively. Interesting how it works out. I
found my first one on my first day, my second one on my third day, then

Has anyone sliced into a battle mountain yet?
Curious to see what it looks like.
If so can you post pics somewhere?

Hi List,
I just wanted to give an update on my experience in Battle Mountain and

encounter with a young miner whom agreed to exchange find information
with me as well as sell me the meteorite that he had found. This miner

According to local legends the name stems from confrontations between

I guess this place remains no stranger to confrontation.

Is it just me, or does the meteorite the miner is holding look more

A word of caution to those hunting this area. Avoid the south end of the dry
